
• Bobbi and her husband traveled cross country by car for
3 months with their two cats on their way to make their new home in
Portland, Oregon in 2001.
• At Bobbi’s first big-time skiing event in
Vail, Colorado in 2000, she passed her husband (a 25-year skiing veteran)
at the bottom of the hill at the end of the day. When Rick finally
caught Bobbi, she already had her boots off, feet up, and nursing
a drink at the bar.
• Bobbi and Rick embarked on a large landscaping
project beginning September 2004 so they could hold their wedding in
August of 2005 in their back yard.
• Bobbi was once chased by a pack of wild pigs.
• Bobbi was a contestant in the Miss Teen Missouri
Pageant (and she won the public speaking event.)
• Bobbi is not known for her sense of direction.
She recently got lost "in the wilds of an arboretum."
• Bobbi has a goal to tour the battlefields of the
Civil War. She's seen Antietam and Gettysburg so far.
• Bobbi was a superstar shortstop on her grade school
softball team which won two Championships. In the few losses they
had, their opponents jeered, "We beat Custer! Turned them into
mustard!"
• Bobbi has a soft spot in her heart for kitties.
A litter of feral cats adopted Bobbi as their mother, and
Bobbi put a cat door in the basement window so they could be warm
all winter.
• Bobbi's father claims that she can stub her toe
on air. She has stubbed her toe on water while swimming, which led
her to let out a big Charlie-Brown yelp, "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!"
• Upon their 8th grade graduations, Bobbi's sisters
received a Timex watch. Bobbi's gift was a donkey, which she asked
for, but couldn't ride because it was pregnant.
• Bobbi wrote a poem that was published in a national
poetry magazine, but was not allowed to buy a copy so she could see
it in print.
• Bobbi won second place in a baking contest for
her super-secret recipe for jelly rolls.
• Once when Bobbi was on vacation in St. John, a
local woman chased Bobbi with a machete.
• Bobbi used to be a member of the American Rabbit
Breeders Association and the Dutch Rabbit Breeders Association, and
she won second-place ribbons for her rabbits.
